About Caroline Docwra

artist, curator, writer

Caroline Docwra grew up in the Southwest side of Houston better known as Alief and as a creature of habit, has never left. She holds a BS in Biology with a minor in Art History and is finishing her MA in Arts Leadership at the University of Houston. Caroline has a passion for working with Houston communities and has worked with various organizations including Houston Arts Alliance, Houston Museum of Natural Science, Fort Bend Theatre, Houston Center for Photography and the Children's Museum of Houston.

Her work in Greater Houston area arts organizations focuses on coordinating community building programs. She aims to incorporate and utilize her knowledge of technology as a tool for greater engagement in the arts.

As an artist, she photographs scenes of her daily life to better understand how places develop a person.

Her curatorial projects focus on understanding and interpreting a theme through the artists' own perspective.
